Welcome to the Aerie 2201
Uniting the spirit of liberty, truth, justice, and equality.
Our Mission
The Fraternal Order of Eagles is an international non-profit organization uniting fraternally in the spirit of liberty, truth, justice, and equality, to make human life more desirable by lessening its ills and promoting peace, prosperity, gladness and hope.
The F.O.E. donates more than $10 million a year to local communities, fundraisers, charities and more. As part of its philosophy, the F.O.E. gives back 100 percent of monies raised in the form of grants. Fundraisers are conducted for eight major charities, including kidney, heart, diabetes, cancer and spinal cord injury funds, a children's fund, memorial foundation and the Golden Eagle Fund.

The Fraternal Order of Eagles believes every penny donated to our Charity Foundation should benefit the individuals who need it most - that's why we return 100% of all funds raised in the form of grants.
The Diabetes Research Center, which opened Aug. 23, 2014, occupies 1.5 floors (20,000+ sq. ft.) within the John and Mary Pappajohn Biomedical Discovery Building. A team of 100 researchers works daily conducting a variety of research studies centered around maintaining, preventing and, ultimately, curing diabetes.
In 2008, The Fraternal Order of Eagles made a promise to help find a cure for diabetes, pledging $25 million to fund research efforts at the F.O.E. Diabetes Research Center at the University of Iowa. Over the last 10 years, our money has helped fund significant breakthroughs in the field of diabetes. Now, it's time to bring those research efforts to the next level through the Bridge to the Cure.
The Memorial Foundation supports children (including those legally adopted) of members who die while serving their country or at work. All Eagle members and their families are automatically protected by this unprecedented safety net.
Within beautiful Bradenton, Fla., lies Eagle Village– a 26-acre complex featuring 85 living units open to members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles with at least 10 years of continuous membership. Amenities include a library, recreation center, town hall, pool, gym, shuffleboard court and a three-acre lake with private lighted paths, allowing residents to enjoy long walks or bike rides at any hour.
As of 2009, there were 42,000 Veterans receiving medical care for spinal cord injuries (SCI) from the VA in this country. These men and women volunteered to serve their country and were severely wounded in combat. Now, we have the opportunity to do something to give back.
People Helping Pantries. That's us. Millions of people around the United States and Canada go hungry every day. Grand Worthy President Tom McGrath and Grand Madam President Helen Poehner are asking everyone to make a difference by dropping off non-perishable food items to the Aerie and Auxiliary nearest you throughout the month of October in support of a local food bank. Help us help the millions in need by making a donation.
Grants from the various funds of the F.O.E. Charity Foundation are made available every year to 501 (c) 3 organizations. Grants may only be given to non-profit institutions, as dictated under the Articles of Incorporation of the Eagles and must conform to IRS requirements for non-profit institutions. Grants are paid directly to recipients for such purposes as stated in the Charity By-laws. Qualifying organizations include but are not limited to local hospitals, universities, camps, clinics.
